Everything. For me, it’s the greatest gift and the most meaningful title one can have. Motherhood feels completely natural – I’m a deeply caring person, and the thought that someone truly needs me touches me deeply. It’s a privilege to be someone’s safe haven in life.
How has becoming a mother changed your view on beauty and clothing?
Motherhood has really shown me that beauty comes from within. I wish I could whisper that to my younger self – especially during the vulnerable teenage years. You’re not more valuable or beautiful because of what you wear. That said, I still love dressing up – and I love doing the same with my daughters. It’s one of those small joys in everyday life.
What does Mother’s Day mean to you?
The day itself isn’t the most important part – it’s the feeling and the role of being a mother that matters most. It’s a huge responsibility to care for someone with your whole heart. The love you receive from your children is something truly special – it’s genuine, pure, and tender. I’m deeply grateful to be the mother of my three girls.
What do you hope mothers feel when wearing M-KAE?
That they feel confident, comfortable, and seen. Our pieces are created with love – using the softest fabrics and flattering cuts, so you feel both beautiful and at ease. And being able to match with your daughter? That’s just the sweetest thing. My own girls love it – and so do I.
What were the thoughts behind our Mini collection?
When we were expecting our first daughter and found out it was a little girl, I immediately knew we had to create M-KAE MINI. I love dressing up and doing something special for myself – and I wanted to share that joy with my daughters. It’s such a lovely thing to stand together in front of the wardrobe and let them choose what they want to wear. Those are the small, magical moments in everyday life.
What does it feel like to design something both you and your child can wear?
It’s truly something special. There’s a sense of strength and connection in it – a feeling of belonging, even visually. I’ve never received as many smiles and sweet comments as I do when we walk hand in hand in matching outfits.
Was there a particular feeling or mood you wanted to capture in the mini collection?
Absolutely. I wanted to create something timeless – classic styles that can be worn by both big and small. Because love, style, and connection have no age.
